Burnley starlet Daniel Agyei is set for a new contract.

The 19-year-old has broken into the Clarets' first-team fold since the turn of the year - making his Premier League debut last month.

And the forward is set to be rewarded for his rapid progress with a new deal.

Burnley want to mathematically secure their top-flight status before starting talks over fresh terms, but Turf Moor chiefs view securing Agyei's long term future as a priority.

And his reputation as one of the best emerging youngsters in the country will be bolstered this summer with Agyei expected to be called up into the England Under-20 squad and Ghana also looking to lure him to the Black Stars.

The youngster impressed during a loan spell at Coventry earlier this season, where his performances convinced Sean Dyche that Agyei was ready for a senior role.
