Budding Ghana midfielder Kamal Sowah has penned his first professional contract with English Premier League side Leicester City in the ongoing transfer window.

Sowah, who previously trained with Danish side FC Nordjaelland, signed his first professional contract with Leicester City on Monday after joining the Foxes from Ghanaian lower-tier side Sporting Club late last year.

"I'm very happy to sign my first professional contract with one of the biggest football club in England [Leicester City]," the 18-year-old told Kickgh.com

"I give thanks to the Almighty God, my family and friends for guiding me through my career and to officials and teammates at Sporting club Accra.

"I will still need their prayers and support at my new club."

Sowah was invited to the Ghana U17 but couldn't make the final squad for the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup held in India.
