Ghanaian youngster Muniru Sulley sees RED in Steaua Bucuresti friendly
Sulley Muniru played his first game for Steaua on Wednesday

Ghanaian youngster Sulley Muniru was sent off  on Wednesday for Steaua Bucuresti as the Romanian side came from behind to beat Rubin Kazan’ 2-1 in a friendly match.

The 22-year-old who came on as second half substitute was sent off by the 77th minute after attracting two yellow cards.

Muniru who is the younger brother of Sulley Muntari only joined the Romanian champions at the end of last month from CFR Cluj.

His debut for his new club however didn’t go according to script as he was sent off minutes after coming on in the friendly match played in Austria.

The Austrian referee however allowed Steaua to replace Muniru who has been sent off since the game was only an exhibition game.

Gökdeniz Karadeniz put Rubin Kazan into the lead in the 27th minute with a thunderous strike from 25 yards.

Tudor equalized for Steaua after 62 minutes before Lancu scored the winner in the 78th minute.

Steaua will next face Azerbaijani champions FK Qarabagh Agdam on Friday.
