UK-based football agent Keith Sharpe insists Ghanaian youngster Thomas Agyepong still has a future at English giants Manchester City.

The former Ghana U17 team captain has just turned 18, making him eligible to sign a professional contract with the Citizens.

The Ghanaian youngster is however likely to be sent out on as part of Man City’s model of helping their youth players gather experience.

There are however precedents in the past to show that not all players who are sent out on loan by the English giants return to the side.

But football agent Keith Sharpe who has close working relations with the English champions believes Agyepong stands a genuine chance of making it at City.

Agyepong is considered one of the brightest emerging stars to have graduated from the famous Right to Dream

“He [Ahyepong] has a real chance, he can impact any team he plays in,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Just like [Divine] Naah, the challenge we have with all of the younger non- EU players initially is qualification for the special exemption to get the UK work permit.

“This is why we work closely with [Man] City to find top level clubs in Europe where they can play first team football.”
