Ghanaian youth international defender Isaac Donkor has been handed named as new captain by Inter Milan for their Primavera, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.Â
The 19-year-old powerful enterprising central defender who can also perfectly slot in to central defence and play across the various positions in defence will lead the Primaveras throughout the 2014/15 season.
Inter Milan's Primavera (20) trainer Di Stefano Vecchi recalled Donkor from the club's Junior Berretti (18) side where he joined the youngsters for their league games for the last two games and handed him the armband.
Donkor wore the armband for the first time this season on Tuesday and successfully lead the side to a 2-0 win over Virtus Lanciano.
He will lead two other Ghanaian players (Bright Gyamfi - defender) and (Samuel Appiah - attacker) in the Primavera squad.
Donkor has told GHANAsoccernet.com he is interested in playing for Ghana's U20 side.
