Ghanaian youth international midfielder Thomas Partey has returned to training after recovering from a knee injury to boost Real Mallorca's quest for survival in the Spanish Segunda Division.

The on-loan Atletico Madrid starlet sustained a minor knee problem and was replaced in the 42nd minute during Atletico Madrid's 1-1 draw at Numancia last Saturday.

However, the 20-year-old former Ghana U20 trainee resumed training on Tuesday and is set to be fielded by Mallorca manager Lluís Carreras when they host Real Jaén at the Iberostar Estadi on Saturday afternoon.

"I trained yesterday and today too so hopefully I will be ready for the weekend game," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Mallorca are on the brink of relegation into third-tier of Spanish football and must win on Saturday if they are to remain hopeful of survival.

Partey, who joined them before the start of the season from Atletico Madrid has been overly impressive after scoring 5 times in 34 appearances.
