South Africa goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune insists the team can not allow Ghana's emphatic to go to their heads going into Saturday's African Nations Championship qualifier with Mauritius.

The Black Stars massacred the Mauritius 7-1 in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Accra last Sunday and there is hope that Bafana Bafana could repeat the dose.

South Africa enter the game on the back of a 2-1 friendly win over Angola in Cape Town on Tuesday.

The result helped eased the disappointment of Bafana's goalless home draw with Gambia in their opening qualifier for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on the weekend.

"It’s a good morale booster for us, but we should not go there thinking that Mauritius did not do well against Ghana in the Afcon qualifiers [Ghana defeated Mauritius 7-1]," Khune said.

"It is not going to be a walk in the park for us. They are coming here wounded and could be dangerous as they might want to hurt us if we underestimate them. We need to approach the game with a positive mind and a hunger to win.

"We should not let this win against Angola get to our heads, it is now in the past we have to move on. We want to qualify for CHAN as it will be good for us in building up towards to other tournaments.
