Ghana's Acquah ready to explode in Malawi qualifier

Afriyie Acquah wants to play in the qualifier against Malawi

Italy-based midfielder Afriyie Acquah hopes to play a major role in Ghana’s Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi on Saturday.

The Parma player earned a late call-up to replace injured Emmanuel Agymang-Badu.

The 20-year-old has a bit part player at the Stadio Tardini since moving on a season-long loan deal from Palermo.

Acquah has made three appearances in the Serie Athis term but believes he can help Ghana’s qualification.

“When you look at the club I play for, I’m a regular player. Sometimes I play and sometimes I don’t play so maybe the coach as seen something in me and I’m prepared to give my best,” Acquah told MTNFootball.com

Acquah made his debut in February this year as a second half substitute in the friendly against Chile.
