Ghana's All Africa Games heroine Portia Boakye up for CAF Women Player of the Year

Black Queens striker Portia Boakye has been nominated for the 2015 CAF Women Player of the Year.

Boakye’s volley in the final of the All Africa Games earned Ghana a historic gold medal in the 1-0 win over Cameroon.

Her competitors are Cameroon duo Gabrielle Onguéné and Gaelle Enganamouit, Ngozi Ebere of Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire.

The winner will be announced at the Glo-CAF Awards Gala scheduled for Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Abuja, Nigeria.
