Ghana’s assistant coach Maxwell Konadu was in the stands to monitor the performance of Jeffery Schlupp in Leicester City’s 1-1 draw with Yeovil Town in the English Championship on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old who has been regular for the Foxes’ impressive campaign this term was voted the Man-of-the-Match on the day.

Leicester remain in pole position to win automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu who is in the UK with coach Kwesi Appiah to primarily hold interactions with colleagues at Liverpool FC was spotted in the stands at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday, according to Kumasi-based radio station Metro FM.

Konadu therefore took the opportunity to assess at first hand the performance of the young Ghanaian attacker who has been talked off a lot in the English second tier.

Schlupp despite scoring one league goal in 22 appearances is being raved about a lot for his complete performance especially when playing as the lone man upfront.

The Black Stars technical team are still in the process of assembling their squad for June’s World Cup in Brazil.

Coack Kwesi Appiah is expected to name a provisional squad early next month before eventually pruning down the side to the required 23 for the tournament.
