Black Stars are seeking to play a friendly in September

Ghana's national team the Black Stars will definitely be involved in the next FIFA free window for international matches later in September with their opponents being an undisclosed African country.

The Black Stars are likely to play Congo before they take on Rwanda in their away 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier to be played in Kigali.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has specifically requested to play an African team since the games ahead of the Black Stars involve African countries.

It was gathered further that the particular country to confront the Black Stars isn’t decided although Congo and a couple of teams from the continent are currently seeking to face the four-time African champions for a friendly.

Also to be discussed are the modalities of the game to decide if it would be a two-legged tie as well as venue.

In that case, the two countries through their agents would decide who plays first and when the return leg would be played.
