Ghana's Female U17 team depart for Morocco ahead of World Cup qualifier

Ghana's Female Under-17 team left Accra for Morocco on Wednesday morning ahead of the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup qualifier this weekend.

A 27-man contingent comprising 18 players and 8 technical team members departed on board an Air-Maroc flight.

Coach Augustine Evans Adotey had been trimming the rough edges of his team ahead of the game at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence in Prampram.

The Ghanaians advanced to the second round after their opponents Sierra Leone pulled out.

The 2013 bronze medalist a chasing a fifth successive World Cup berth.

This year’s FIFA women’s U17 World Cup will be hosted by Jordan between September and October.
