Ghana's Group B opponents Niger train in Port Elizabeth

Niger trained Friday evening at their AFCON base in Port Elizabeth after they flew in from Nelspruit earlier in the day.

“We have settled down, but it’s a bit cold because we are by the coast and we are struggling to adjust to the food they serve here,” reported Niger FA technical director Garba Lawali.

The Mena played out a 0-0 draw with Burkina Faso in Nelspruit on Thursday.

They will take on South African PSL side Platinum Stars on Wednesday in Port Elizabeth in their final warm-up game before the AFCON.

Niger open their Group D campaign next week Sunday against fellow West Africans Mali.

Ghana and DR Congo are the other teams in this group.
