Ghana forward Raphael Dwamena showed great resilience as he struck the match-winner for FC Zurich as they pipped Chiasso 1-0 in the Challenge League on Sunday afternoon.
The 20-year-old, who has lost his mother, put his emotional trauma behind him to claim the solitary goal of the game in the 40th minute at the Stadion Letzigrund.
Dwamena resisted a fierce opposition from two defenders to stab home for his second league goal since arrival from Austrian side Lustenau in the winter.
The highly-prolific goal-poacher has now scored 23 goals this season after netting 21 in all competitions for Lustenau.
He is still leading the goal-king chart in the Austrian second-tier league with 18 goals despite abandoning the league.
