Ghana's opponents for the African Women Championship South Africa started camp yesterday and will hold their training sessions at the Nike Centre in Soweto and the Bedfordview FC grounds.

The Bayana Bayana are in Group B alongside the Black Queens, Cameroon and Algeria.

Coach Vera Pauw has arranged an international friendly match against Namibia in Durban on Sunday, August 10.

“We are ready for this next challenge, we will play Namibia on the 10th August, and we are very happy they agreed to play us. We are at a stage where we need all the matches we can get. Later this month we will be visiting a few areas around the country, while getting ready for the 2014 African Women’s Championships,” she said accoding to a press release by SAFA.

This will also be used as qualifiers for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, with the top three teams qualifying to represent Africa in the showpiece in Canada next year.
