Ghana's World Cup qualifying group opponents have line-up a friendly against Senegal in August in preparation for their clash with the Black Stars in September.

The Chipolopolo, who will play Ghana in the crucial final World Cup qualifier on 6 September, will travel to France to play the game.

The match will be played on 14 August even though the venue is yet to be confirmed.

The Senegalese are keen on playing the match in Paris as it will be easy to assemble their Europe-based players there.

“We have confirmation from Zambian officials for the encounter of August 14 in France but we are yet to choose a venue,” said Victor Ciss, secretary general of the football body.

“However, we want the match to hold around the Paris region in order to facilitate the arrival of our professionals.”

Senegal will also use the friendly as part of preparations for the final match day of the 2014 World Cup qualifying second round.

Both teams are vying for their respective group’s berth to the final round of the qualifying, with the Chipolopolo trailing Ghana by 1 point in Group D ahead of their September 6 clash in Accra, while the Teranga Lions, who are leading Group J with 9 points, will play host to second-placed Uganda (8pts) on the same date.

Ghana is yet to confirm an opponent for the August friendly date.
