Asante Kotoko are close to signing all their targeted players ahead of their participation in next season’s Caf Champions League.

The Porcupine Warriors clinched a historic 22nd League title despite drawing blank against Berekum Arsenal in the Ghana’s top flight on Sunday.

The feat by the Ghanaian giant will mean an entry to participate in Africa’s elite inter-club competition next season after a six-year absence.

A number of high profile players have been linked with the Kumasi-based side as head coach Maxwell Konadu attempt to build a formidable squad capable of winning the ultimate.

“We have agreed with all the players that we want to sign for next season. We’re close to 80% in finishing the final terms of the contract,” Public and Supporters Relations Manager, Listowell Yesu Bukarson said.

“We’re very much on tract and ensure that we are ahead of time in terms of planning. We are a very professionals club and so we don’t want to wait and be caught pant down.

“The Executive Chairman and his team are on top of issues. We know the players we want to sign and I can say that we’re almost close to securing their services.

Three Mighty Jets players including impressive fleet-footed Ben Eli Agbeko have been linked with the club with New Edubiase’s Asiedu Atobrah and the leading marksman Emmanuel Baffour believed to be on the radar of Kotoko.
