South African giants Orlando Pirates are closing in on signing Ghana international Edwin Gyimah, according to reports from the Rainbow nation.

Last month, Ghana’s leading football website www.GHANASoccernet.com reported that the defender-cum-midfielder had agreed to join the Bucs but officials were out to deny the move.

As it stands now, are in pole position to snap up the former SuperSport United player.

Gyimah is available on free transfer after spending last season at Mpumalanga Black Aces where he helped them secure 10th spot in the Absa Premiership.

He made a total of 23 appearances for AmaZayoni, which included 22 starts in the league campaign, while he also found the back of the net on one occasion.
