Ghanaian midfielder Gladson Awako has vowed to replicate his outstanding performance in  2012 Champions League at his new club, DR Congo’s side TP Mazembe.

The ex-Berekum Chelsea mercurial enforcer played an influential role in the Ghanaian club’s Champions League campaign this year as they were eliminated in the group phase.

The 22-year-old joined the mega rich club on a five year deal worth $400,000 and he says he is confident he can reproduce his form from continental competition.

“I am happy to join one of the biggest clubs on the continent and I am here to play my heart out so that everybody will be happy,” Awako said.

“I have come to help Mazembe win trophies both domestically and in the CAF Champions League and I hope the fans will accept to make my stay here a comfortable one.”

The diminutive midfielder was a member of the Ghana’s Under-20 the Black Satellites that won Africa’s first ever gold medal at the 2009 World Youth Championship held in Egypt.
