Ghanaian midfielder Gladson Awako has vowed to replicate his outstanding performance in à 2012 Champions League at his new club, DR Congoââ¬â¢s side TP Mazembe.
The ex-Berekum Chelsea mercurial enforcer played an influential role in the Ghanaian clubââ¬â¢s Champions League campaign this year as they were eliminated in the group phase.
The 22-year-old joined the mega rich club on a five year deal worth $400,000 and he says he is confident he can reproduce his form from continental competition.
ââ¬ÅI am happy to join one of the biggest clubs on the continent and I am here to play my heart out so that everybody will be happy,â⬠Awako said.
ââ¬ÅI have come to help Mazembe win trophies both domestically and in the CAF Champions League and I hope the fans will accept to make my stay here a comfortable one.ââ¬
The diminutive midfielder was a member of the Ghanaââ¬â¢s Under-20 the Black Satellites that won Africaââ¬â¢s first ever gold medal at the 2009 World Youth Championship held in Egypt.
