Telecommunication firm Globacom have launched a promotional package to select twenty five Ghanaians to Brazil on an all-expense paid trip to witness the 2014 World Cup.

The promotion dubbed ‘Let’s Go to Brazil’  ends on May 31 and requires pre-paid subscribers on the Glo network to recharge a minimum of GH15.00 (almost $6) over the two-month period to qualify.

The adjudged winner of the promotion will be handed a cash reward of GH5000 (almost $2000) if he or she is unable to procure a travel visa to Brazil before the trip is due.

Glo have also lined up one thousand consolatory prizes for participants who may not be lucky enough to be selected for the tip to Brazil to cheer the Black Stars to victory at the World Cup in June.

Glo Ghana’s Head of Business, Akeem Kazeem says the promotion forms part of his outfit’s grand plan to reward its loyal customers in the festive football season.

“In our usual fashion, Glo Mobile Ghana is happy to offer our valued pre-paid customers who have kept faith with our network a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch Ghana play in Brazil in June this year,” he said at the launch of the ‘Let’s Go to Brazil’ promotion on Tuesday.

“We are sending our customers to Brazil this 2014 to watch all the action with all expenses paid – just because you are on the Go network and especially because you have displayed great faith and loyalty to the Glo network and especially because you have displayed a great faith and loyalty to the Glo brand.”

The twenty five lucky winners will consist 22 subscribers and three dealers of Glo products.

This is the second tine the Nigeria-owned firm is embarking on such a campaign to reward its loyal customers with a chance to make an international trip related to football.

The company last year sponsored a number of its subscribers and dealers from Ghana, Nigeria and Benin to a lifetime trip to Old Trafford – the home of English giants Manchester United.
