Glo League bounces back today

Posted On Saturday, 27th February 2010

The second round of the Glo Premier League bounces back this afternoon and a month break with Aduana Stars faced with the task of defending their top spot.

Defending champions Hearts of Oak have a tricky away duel at the Tamale stadium against Real Tamale United.

Hearts ended the first half of the season in third-place, one point behind leaders Aduana Stars and today’s match will be Coach Yusif Abubakar first assignment as confirmed coach.

The Phobians beat RTU 2-0 in the corresponding fixture at the Ohene Djan stadium on 09 January.

Asante Kotoko want to make a fresh start to the season after a chequered performance during the first round but that will face some resistance from an improved Kessben FC side at the Baba YaraStadium.

For Bashir Hayford’s Kessben FC the motivation to beat Kotoko is reclaiming top spot on the log sheet.

Liberty Professionals are tipped for the points against bottom placed Sekondi Hasaacas at the Carl Reindorf Park.

Bechem Chelsea will be without Ghana international Lee Ardy when they trek to the Essipong stadium to tackle Eleven Wise.

League leaders Aduana Stars face a difficult task in maintaining the top spot when they play Ashantigold in the late kick-off (5pm local time) at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium.

Aduana pipped the Miners in the reverse fixture in Dormaa Ahenkro.

Elsewhere, sixth-placed Berekum Arsenals are fancied to win against New Edubiase at the Golden City Park.

Great Olympics will sort things out with second-placed All Stars at the El-Wak stadium.

Heart of Lions have difficult task at the Kpando Park against a King Faisal that ended the first round with a 0-4 win over RTU in Tamale.
