Glo pays US$1.9 million to Ghana FA as half-payment for sponsorship debt

The Ghana Football Association has received $1.9 million from Globacom Ghana, representing part of the outstanding debt owed it in unpaid sponsorship fees for the Premier League.

Beneficiaries of this payment by the league's former sponsor, include Clubs played in the 2012-13 Premier League season.

Asante Kotoko, champions for that season will be given their prize money for winning the league.

The Executive Committee took the decision on the disbursing formula at its meeting on Wednesday.
