Glo soccer academy screening starts in Kumasi

The screening process for the maiden Glo Soccer Academy has commenced in Kumasi.

The inaugural event dubbed 'Dream Team' is aimed at scouting for 33 talented footballers between the ages of 14-17 across eight other venues in West African Countries; Ghana, Nigeria and Benin.

The 33 finalist will then be housed an an ultra-modern football facility in Nigeria where they will be trained by celebrity coaches and coaches from Manchester United in a Reality Show.

The commencement of the screening process in Kumasi on Monday at the Paa Joe Stadium (KNUST) marked the start of finding Ghana's representatives for the exciting contest soon to hit television screens.

The process in Kumasi ends on Tuesday after which the screening team will move to the Northern Regional capital of Tamale to continue with the process on the 12th and 13th of October.

The screening process will then end in Ghana on October 18 after a two-day screening exercise in Accra at the Lizzy Sports Complex.

Ex Ghana internationals; Abdul Razak and Anthony Baffoe are involved as celebrity coaches for this initiative which is already proving to be the biggest soccer reality show in West Africa.
