Real Athletico top the Zone Three table of the GN Division One League as the battle for promotion continues.

Athletico inspired by the victory away to D’International at the Tema Sports Stadium consolidates their position with 11 points in 5 matches.

Meanwhile, D’International however remains mid table with accumulated 6 points after match day 5.

Tema Youth quest to premier league football was once again curtailed over the weekends as Pure joy held them to a 1-1 draw game at the Tema sports stadium.

Despite Tema Youth denying Pure Joy top spot, the Tema-based side continued its poor run in the league after picking just two points out of a possible of 15.

Ho Hot Steel beat Amidaus Professionals 1-0 at the Ho Sports Stadium to record their second successive home win of the season.

The game becomes Hot Steel’s last game there as renovations works are expected to start soon thereby its closure to users.

Constant Dansu scored the game’s only goal in the 11th minutes. The result means Hot Steel has 6points alongside Amidaus Professionals and sits mid table.

King Solomon produced a great come back after losing to Real Athletico to secure a vital home win.

The slim win at Kwahu Praso against Kotoku Royals 2-1 sends them to 10 points; one adrift table topers Real Athletico.

Kotoku Royals on the other hand stays in the relegation zone with 4 points after the defeat.

Okwawu United put their troubles behind them to draw away to Istanbul FC at the Koforidua Park.

The high tempo game saw a lot of hot exchanges between the two sides in the early minutes of the game but later swings between them.

Lots of goal scoring opportunities were created but neither of the sides took advantage of it thereby the lack of goals.

Drawing 1-1 leaves Okwawu United with 7 points as compared to Istanbul’s six.

Elsewhere, Dreams FC’s surge continued with another strong performance in Kweiman.

Their 3-1 victory over Prestige FC powers them to 10points after a poor showing in their previous game where they lost away to Pure Joy FC.

This result means, Prestige have lost two games of the season and have 5 points.

At Teshie, Danbort FC held Mighty Jets to a 0-0-draw game.

Mighty Jets after defeating sporting Mirren away last week where counting on that impressive performance but were denied any goal scoring opportunity by Danbort Fc.

The result leaves Mighty Jet in mid table with 7points as of 6points to Danbort.

Sporting Mirren’s poor run of the season continues as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Nania FC at the Aquinas Park in Accra.

Mirren without a win in the league so far stays 15th on the log sheet with 2points while Nania pushed to the 4th spot on the table.

In all 16 goals were recorded in the zone over the weekend.
