Managing Director of GN Bank Issah Adams has confirmed that his outfit will not renew their contract as the headline title sponsor of the Ghana Division One League (DOL).

The Bank signed a three-year contract with the Ghana Division One League at the commencement of the 2014/15 campaign and injected a whopping cash of GHC 2.1 million.

However, after the expiration of the deal, the company has shifted their focus and support to other sectors other than football hence will not renew their relationship with the second-tier league.

"We signed a contract with them to sponsor the league for three years. We spent GHC 2,083.500 on the league and that ended the relationship at that point," Adams told Happy FM.

"No, we don't intend [considering a renewal]. It's a question of a change in strategy. As a bank or organization, our board says we should support other areas."

"It doesn't mean that we must continue to support only football There are other areas that we can support so it's an issue of a change in strategy."
