Goalie Ernest Sowah misses Black Stars training due to Malaria

Ghana second choice goalkeeper Ernest Sowah missed Monday's training session at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium ahead of the friendly against South Korea due to an illness.

The Berekum Chelsea shot-stopper is suffering from malaria and sat out the exercise which lasted for an hour.

Sowah was picked ahead of Hearts of Oak goalkeeper and former Ghana number two Sammy Adjei.

He is a member of the 17 players in camp for the friendly which will be play at 8pm local time (11:00 GMT)

Midfielder Anthony Annan, who joined the squad late, took part in the training exercise.

Ghana beat South Korea 3-1 at the Easter Road Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland in a friendly four years ago.
