Goalkeeper Fatawu Dauda has hailed his retun to the national team after a four-year absence.
The Ashantigold glovesman has been rewarded for his fine display for the miners last season by being handed a recall-into the national since 2008.
The 27-year-old is thrilled with his return to the Black Stars fold and says patience has played a key role in that regard.
ââ¬ÅWhen it comes to the national team, it is all about patience. We have a lot of players in the country and in the system,â⬠Dauda told Radio XYZ
ââ¬ÅWe cannot all be invited into the national team. Itââ¬â¢s all about time and an opportunity,ââ¬
ââ¬ÅWhen I heard the news, I was very happy. The only thing left for me is to go out there and prove myself so that I can have the chance to play anytime they call me,ââ¬
ââ¬ÅIt is not just about getting an invite; you have to prove because the technical team and the management have some confidence in me that is why they invited me. Donââ¬â¢t forget I am not the only goalkeeper in the country.ââ¬
The former Okwahu United shot-stopper was on the roster for the African Cup of Nations 2008, as the third keeper.
