Goalkeeper Isaac Amoako says the local Black Stars are in top shape for the 2014 African Nations Championship.

The Asante Kotoko first choice gloves man was a member of the 2011 squad which played in the finals hosted by Sudan.

Amoako says his teammates are ready to get their campaign off to a flier.

“We have adequately prepared and I am sure we are going to perform to expectation. We would have to go all out,” Amoako told Asante Kotoko’s official website.

“It won't be easy but I am sure we can do that. I believe Ghana would have to do more than the others have done so as to be taken serious.”

Amoako also believes this year’s tournament will be very competitive after watching the opening round of matches.

“I must admit that the seriousness of the other teams has been remarkable. We will do more than that. We are here for serious business. We will not be intimidated by anything,” he added.

“We have prepared well and God willing, we are going to give our best to make Ghanaians proud.”

Ghana begin their campaign on Monday against Congo in a Group C clash.
