Ghana U20 goalkeeper Lawrence Ati has kicked against suggestions to have coach Sellas Tetteh sacked.

The former Rwanda coach has come under immense pressure after failing to reach his semi final target at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup staged in New Zealand.

Ghana crashed out of the tournament at the Round of 16 stage against West African rivals Mali.

Calls have since been made for the experienced youth trainer to be dismissed.

But goalkeeper Lawrence Ati who emerged as one of the revelations from the Ghana team says Tetteh must stay on to continue with his good work.

“For me he is a good coach so I don’t think he should be sacked,” he said.

“He has done a lot of good things for the team.”
