Ghana goalkeeper Stephen Adams says he is in disbelief following the sudden departure of Kwesi Appiah as Black Stars coach.
ââ¬ÅI was very surprised and disturbed I must say,â⬠Adams told GHANASoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅI am yet to fully believe it and talk to someone from the inner corridors, but am very surprised.ââ¬
The Ghana Football Association confirmed on Friday that they reached an agreement to go separate ways with ex-Ghana international after two years.
Adams were one of many players who were given national team opportunities by Appiah.
The Aduana Stars first choice goalkeeper was handed a shock start in the 3-2 win over Togo in Lome on Wednesday.
Adams received rave reviews for his performance and would have earned more game time had Appiah remained in charge.
