Aduana Stars right back Godfred Saka has insisted that the just ended First Capital Plus Premier League has been the most competitive ever in the history of his career as a player for the 2010 champions.

The 2015 MTN FA Cup best defender believes that it is only those who do not play active role in the league who will describe the league as non-competitive but for him, it is the most competitive ever.

In an interview with GHANAsoccernet.com, Godfred Saka said "This year's league has been highly competitive. Look at where Kotoko and Hearts were at the end of the season? That tells you how strong the teams were."

"Every team was struggling away. You see a few teams winning matches away and that means the teams are strong at home. And when it happens like that, the competition becomes very close."

The Local Black Stars defender maintains that the competitive level of the league is the reason for AshantiGold's inability to amass more than sixty points in winning the league.

"AshantiGold won the league with only 52 points and that means that they were given strong opposition. So people should stop saying the league has not been competitive.
