Former Ghana international Godwin Attram has entreated Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko fans to lower their expectations on their clubs to lessen pressure on their players.

Hearts released four players last week including Theophilus Jackson, Cosmos Dauda, Joshua Otoo and Evans Quao for non-performance last Friday.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have also followed the same tangent by cancelling the contracts of  Saddick Adams, Eric Donkor, Seth Opare, Yakubu Mohammed, Edwin Tuffour Frimpong and Frank Sarfo Gyamfi.

"Players with traditional clubs like Asante Kotoko [and Hearts of Oak] always suffer because their supporters are impatient," Attram told Footballghana.com

"They must learn how to give coaches and players the chance to explore and exhibit what they have."

"Sometimes, the managerial aspect becomes a problem because the supporters are always demanding which should not be so," he added.

Hearts are yet to win the top-flight since 2009 while Kotoko last won it in 2014.
