Goran Stevanovic arrives for final talks on future

Published on: 16 March 2012

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic will hold a final meeting with Ghana Football Association today (Friday) over his future.

The Serbian arrived last night after his inability to show up on Tuesday due to passport problems.

Stevanovic will meet the five-man emergency committee of the Football on a wide range of issues before his stay or dismissal is confirmed.

The former Partizan Belgrade coach is rumoured to be on his way out after a Executive Committee meeting last week unanimously agreed to terminate his stay.

The 45-year-old has one more year on his contract and will be paid a compensation fee reported to be in the region of 350,000 Euros.

Stevanovic's future has been in a balance after he failed to win the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Some names have emerged to replace the Serb including ex-France captain Marcel Desailly.
