Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim says she will be using her role as a FIFA Ambassador to poach for investors for women football in the country.
The beautiful actress is surprised Ghanaian women in football cannot be supported to excel in their career despite their massive talents.
Ms Ibrahim was recently appointed a FIFA ambassador to support the inclusion of women in leadership positions at FIFA, says she would also use her role to get investors to support women’s football in Ghana.
Speaking on Class FM, Ms Ibrahim said: “Within the year, I’m going to be meeting with the Ghana women’s football [teams] and we’re going to have projects and plans and see what we can do to push themâ¦and most importantly, we need to start getting investors to really look at women’s football because they are great.
“They are great at what they do. They are winning awards all over the world, so, why can’t we push our very own Ghanaians,” she wondered.
“My role is mostly for now to promote the FIFA women’s football confederation. So that’s what I’m doing now, so, I use my voice and status to promote women in football â¦to push women to have more voice and stand in football.
Juliet Ibrahim co-hosted the CAF Awards in January 2016 where she dazzled the audience and spectators with her fluency in both English and French.
