Great Olympics captain Godwin Attram is furious with officiating and predicts the poor refereeing decisions will stifle the growth of the Ghana Premier League.

The former Ghana international went bulging vein-neck ballistic on referee Ernest Berfi whom he claims denied them victory against Aduana Stars on Sunday.

Attram says Berfi’s decision made a serious blunder to award a penalty against the relegation-threatened side in their 1-1 draw.

Olympics had taken the lead through Isaac Nyarko before Nana Yaw Afriyie equalized from the spot.

Attram was incensed after the final whistle: “The referee entered the field with the results. Ever since I returned to play the Ghana Premier League, I have never appreciated officiating.

“If a team will train throughout the week and enter into a game for a referee to decide the fate of the game, then Ghana football has a long way to go.

“The penalty call by the referee against us was very bad, it is not football. Aduana Stars don’t deserve to be lying on the 2 position, because it doesn’t show in their performance.”
