Great Olympics assistant coach Kassim Mingle attributed their 3-2 defeat to Kotoko to indiscipline and the absence of trio- Dan Quaye, Godwin Attram and Richard Kingson.
The Wonder Club struggled without their experienced trio against a wounded Asante Kotoko side at the Accra sports stadium on Wednesday.
Burkina Faso international Ahmed Toure bagged a brace after Dauda Mohammed had opened the floodgate with goals from Daniel Appiah and in-between.
And Olympics assistant coach Kassim Mingle blamed indiscipline and the unavailability of the experienced trio for their defeat.
“I think indiscipline on the part of some of my players cost us the defeat and the absence of our experienced players as well,â€
“We only got to know Dan Quaye and Kingson could not play due to malaria late and so those who filled their shoes were not prepared.
“They never thought they will get the chance to play and so when the opportunity presented itself, they were not ready. But that’s a shame because as a player you must be ready at anytime.
“You could see Dan Quaye and Kingson marshal our defence and Attram is the man who directs affairs from the heart of the park and so their absence affected us badly.â€
Olympics next face All Stars in Wa on Sunday.
