Great Olympics skipper Godwin Attram says there is sense of relief after Wonder Club beat Liberty

Great Olympics captain Godwin Attram insisted there was a sense of relief as the team ended a poor run of form with their 1-0 vital win over Liberty Professionals.

Yaw Acheampong’s side had not won a league game since March and were desperate to return to winning ways.

And it took the magic of the veteran midfielder to score the decisive goal for the Wonder Club as they completed a remarkable double over their neighbours and skipper Godwin Attram was delighted with the turnaround.

“To be honest with you it’s a big relief for us. We needed this three points badly and I’m glad we managed to get it,” he said

“We didn’t play the best of our game but we did what is most important in football.

“I think we can go back and plan for our subsequent games. There is no cause for alarm and we’ll thrive to stay to in the top-flight.”

Despite the crucial win, Olympics are still deeply involved in the relegation dog-fight.
