Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of striker Kwame Boateng on a two-year deal, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 22-year-old arrived in Kumasi earlier this week to complete the protracted move from Great Olympics.

Boateng is one of the players requested for by coach David Duncan as he looks to build a strong team to mount a strong challenge in reclaiming the Premier League title they lost to AshantiGold.

Great Olympics seemed unwilling to release their striker as they look to secure a quick return to the Ghanaian top flight following their demotion at the end of the last campaign.

But the striker's desire to join the Ghanaian giants proved too strong to stop the move.

Asante Kotoko will be unveiling Boateng as their latest signing before the end of the week.

The dethroned Premier League champions have done good business so far in the transfer market with the signing of Ernest Sowah, Evans Quao, Samuel Kyere and Bennet Ofori amongst some of their new recruits.
