Greek Super League champions Olympiakos have strongly entered in the contest to sign Ghanaian-born Swedish U21 star defender Joseph Baffo who plays for Halmstad BK.

Olympiakos must fend off competition from Swiss Cup holders FC Sion who are also keenly interested in signing the 22-year-old enterprising defender who played an influential for Sweden in their Euro U21 triumph in Czech Republic.

Sion have stated their interest in Baffo with President Christian Constantaine leading the move but Olympiakos are using their spot in the upcoming season's Uefa Champions League to bait the former Helsingborg IF defender.

English Premier League new-comers Norwich City have been linked with a move for the defender who has six months remaining on his current contract with Halmstad BK.

Baffo has told GHANAsoccernet.com he does not know where he will play next season.
