Greek giants Olympiakos have joined the queue of clubs watching sought-after Aston Villa and Ghana striker Jordan Ayew.

Sports Day have reported that The Reds are monitoring Ayew's situation at the relegated English Premier League side.

The 24-year-old has already hit the ground running at Villa's pre-season with three goals in two matches.

Aston Villa owner Tony Xia remains adamant the Ghana international will stay with the club despite growing uncertainty regarding his future.

But manager Robert Di Matheo is looking to sign a new striker to give the clearest indication, the Ghanaian could be on his way out.

German side Hamburg have tabled an official £8 million for his services with the likes of  West Ham United, Bordeaux and Galatasaray all believed to be lurking.
