Hosts Guinea came from a goal down to snatch a point against favourites Ghana after settling for a 1-1 draw in Casablanca leaving group E wide open.

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan gave the Black Stars a half time lead scoring in the 26th minute thanks to a brilliant through ball from Jordan Ayew but the Guineans got a deserved equaliser in the 80th minute thanks to Ibrahima Traore’s stunning strike.

Following Uganda’s 1-0 loss to Togo in earlier game played in the group, Ghana now leads the group with 5 points followed by Uganda, Guinea and Togo on 4 and 3 points respectively.

Action resumes on Wednesday October 15 when Ghana host Guinea whilst Uganda visits Togo in Lome.
