All but one Ghana player refused to speak to the media following their 2-1 defeat to Portugal which sealed their early exit from the 2014 World Cup.

Ghana who went into the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with strong hopes of becoming the first African side to make the last four of the competition, crashed out of the tournament for the first time after the group stage after Thursday's defeat.

An own goal by John Boye sent the unimpressive Portuguese team on their way to clinching their first three points of the tournament.

And even though capatin Asamoah Gyan scored the equalizer through a superb team effort, Cristiano Ronaldo pounced on a defensive mishap to restore Portugal's lead.

The game eventually ended in a defeat for the Black Stars which sees the side finish bottom of Group G without wining a single game and finishing with just a point.

The gutted Ghanaian players after standing up waiting journalists in the mixed zone area after the game for a long time, filed past one after the other without offering a word to the media.

A 'boo' shout from one of the disappointed journalists almost resulted in a brawl with captain Asamoah Gyan.

Gyan had to be restrained by his teammates and officials from getting into a fight.

Only defender Jonathan Mensah managed to share a few words to the television cameras as his other colleagues climbed the waiting team bus to catch their flight back to their team base in Maceio.

The team will continue to be sponsored by FIFA for one more day after which all privileges will be withdrawn.

yet more actions which brings the good name of ghana into disrepute. african brothers and sisters pls join me to call for an enquiry into bs2014. as i said earlier rawlings, asantehene or anthony baffoe could be members. it will be interesting to know if anyone thinks similar. as for appiah wanting to build a team, that is for bs reserves. at some point you consolidate, you bond, drill and cut out the imperfections. its only in africa that one takes 20years to build a house. so appiah your lyrics are way offside. we need a proper enquiry into conduct of all parties involved in this heartbreaking spectacle of bs 2014 world cup participation. god bless ghana.may we learn rather than scream and shout and get better as a result like the civilised will do

"Money is the root of all evil", before the 2014 Black Stars there was Judas, he also did it for the money, 30 pieces of silver. You should have gone for glory, honor, immortality! The sad part is you would have gotten even more money, how shortsighted and small minded.

Akwasi Appiah has the mentality of a polygamous man! A man who marries more than one woman! Like seriously today it is Kwarasey in the post tomorrow it is Dauda, today it is Essien starting tomorrow it is Afriyie Acquah star ing and Essien on bench, today it is Warris start tomorrow it is Jordan Ayew. Today it is opare at leftback tomorrow it is kwadwo Asamoah. INFACT Appiah is soo polygamous and a confusionist to the extent that he has managed to get Blackstar supporters CONFUSED as well as to who is the best goali keeper who is the best striker. When this is a no debate issue. LOOK Appiah is not a coach! He was never a quality player anyway and the longer we leave blackstars in his hands the more this generation of Blackstar players will flatter to deceive. what is the coaching grounds on which we switch goal keepers in the middle of a tour nament? Here is the mathematics : POLYGAMY = INSTABILITY = LACK OF CONFIDENCE = CONFUSION AY3 BASAAA! Even After beating Egypt 6 - 1 in kumasi, the Egyptian Coach Bradley is still convinced that Akwasi Appiah Blackstars lack the pure organisational football we used to see between 2006 -2010 when milovan was caoch. In conclusion Akwasi Appiah is a NATURAL POLYGAMIST and we all know polygamous marriages brings no progress ''abi I no day lie? '' :-D

All throughout this tournament i hae to say that the ghanaian media has been a shame... 1. Feeding news of kwaku bonsam to foreign media 2. Starting talks of unrest in the camp.. this is before we all even knew about the money news( ghanaian journalists are closest to the camp). YES IT WAS BAD HOW THE PLAYERS REACTED AND BAD HOW KWESI APPIAH MAY HAVE REACTED BUT IS A COMBINATION OF THAT AND THE MEDIA PRESSURE THAT BOILED THIS OVER

I UNDERSTAND OUR GOVERNMENT IS CROOKED AND ALL BUT THE PLAYERS CRACKED UNDER THE CONSTANT MEDIA SPECULATION. THERE WAS NO NEED TO EMBARASS OUR NATION LIKE THAT IN FRONT OF THE WORLD. LIKE THAT. THERE WAS MORE TO GAIN IN BEING QUIET FOR THEIR DURATION OF BEING IN THE TOURNAMENT THAN DOING THIS. THEN AGAIN I HOPE THIS IS A LESSON FOR OUR GOVERNMENT.. NEXT TIME THEY SHOULDN'T PROMISE LARGE SUMS OF MONEY SO OUR TREASURY RELEASES IT THEN TRY TO EMBEZZLE IT. I HOPE FROM NOW ON THE ORGANIZATION WOULD TRY TO BE MORE TRANSPARENT.

I want to applaud the coach for taking and principled position against insubordination and irresponsible behavior. Muntari is not at his first and neither is Boateng. I believe it is high time that these players be cut off completely. Churchill once said "Never had so much been given my so many to so few".. with 100, 000 dollars in payments while poor Ghanaians cannot even afford a decent education, there is nothing absolutely to show for. It is high time the Ghanaian government and African governments at large come to terms with their responsibilities and set their priorities right. We have over 3 million dollars for football players but we cannot afford to build classrooms are have running water in some of the shanty town in our countries. What a shame!!!! We pay these idiots a hundred thousand dollars for a couple of days yet we cannot afford to pay doctors and teachers.. what a shame!!!!

2 POINTS: 1) Akwasi Appiah being coach of the Blackstars is similar HIRING A PRIMARY SCHOOL "TEACHER" TO SUPERVISE UNIVERSITY "STUDENTS."Think about that. 2) Akwasi Appiah is a Polygamist coach = confusion never departs from the home of polygamist.

Ghana should fire the coach Appiah, for them to loose to United States and eventually fail to make it to the Round of 16 is unacceptable. He should have started , Kevin Prince and Michael Essien in the first Game. These Guys are warriors and they know how to respond under world cup Pressure. Instead He Benched them till the 60th and 70th minute. W.C is about the Players not for Coaches to grab attention Shame on you AA.... SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMME!!!!!!!!!

Having under studied Milovac, his predecessor, for almost 2 years, Appiah did not pick any clue from Milovac. U will like to suggest that academically Appiah is not good and he had transferred this to the pitch. How can you be with a good coach who did well at the 2010 world cup in south Africa and you have not emulated anything he had done before your eyes. This beats my imagination. You cant be a coach to be honest because you so dumb. You cant learn anything. Tell me, which coach in this world cup 1. Change his keeper even though they lost their first game or second game? 2. Which coach in this this world cup does not know his best eleven? 3. Which coach in this world cup use his player maker to player defensive role? Just imagine, Messi is playing left back for Argentina. Appiah you are a laughing stock for most international football pundits who cant understand why you are using KASA for right back just bcos he plays the same role for Juventus. For god sake, Juventus is not Blackstars. You fail and fail again.
