Gyan unsure over Sunderland return

Striker Asamoah Gyan is uncertain if he will return to English side Sunderland at the end of the season after excelling in the UAE.

The Ghanaian attacker has been a key player for Al Ain since joining them on loan from the Black Cats at the start of the season.

Sunderland's new boss Martin O'Neill has stated his desire for Gyan to return to the club but Al Ain coach stated last week that he wants the Ghanaian to stay.

With pressure coming from both club to have Gyan commit to them, the Ghanaian striker says a decision will be taken at the end of his loan spell.

"If you ask me, I don’t know. We have to wait until the season is over," Gyan said.

"For now I’m doing well for Al Ain. What matters now is that I keep doing well for the club. The staff and the players are all happy with me and so we have to wait and see."

Gyan is Al Ain's leading scorer for this season.
