Hacken reach deal to sell striker Waris to Spartak Moscow

Published on: 23 October 2012

Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris is set to join Spartak Moscow during the January transfer window.

His Swedish club Hacken BK met with representatives of the Russian champions on Monday where a deal was struck.

No figures have been mentioned for the leading top scorer in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Waris, 21, has been on the wish-list of stellar European clubs after hitting a rich vein of scoring form in the Swedish top-flight.

He has been monitored by scouts and representative of Manchester City, Arsenal, PSV and Chelsea this term but it looks like he might end up in Eastern Europe.

Waris has scored 24 goals for Hacken with five matches to the end of the season.
