English side Aston Villa have received an £8 million offer from German giants Hamburg for their Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew.

According to reports from England, the Bundesliga club is the fourth side to express interest in the attacker.

However Hamburg are the only side to slap in an offer for Ayew who was the brightest spot for the relegation Aston Villa side.

The son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele is the subject of enquiries from West Ham United, Bordeaux and Galatasaray after they were relegated to the Championship.

Despite the interest, the new owner of Aston Villa is adamant the Ghanaian striker would be staying at club despite the reported interest in the attacker.

However the £8 million offer will give Aston Villa the chance to recoup the money they paid to French side Lorient to grab the attacker last season.

His departure will also give them the chance to cut down on their wage bill as the income will drop becasue of their relegation to the second tier.
