Harrison Afful will join the Black Stars camp in Ethiopia.

Esperance defender Harrison Afful will miss the Black Stars three-day training session in Accra this week ahead of their double 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers next month.

The versatile player is involved in the Tunisian Ligue 1 Championship play-offs which includes giants CS Sfaxien, Etoile Sahel and Club African.

Esperance, third on the table, will need Afful for their remaining two matches with the round-robin competition set to end on Tuesday 28 May.

Afful will join his international teammates in Ethiopia for a five-day camping exercise before they depart to Khartoum on June 5 for their qualifier against Sudan two days later.

The 25-year-old was assigned as a right-back in the 4-0 win over the Nile Crocodiles at home in March this year.

Afful played in all of Ghana's matches at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations where they finished a disappointing fourth in South Africa.

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will begin training at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
