Ex- Hearts chief Harry Zakkour wants the immediate dissolution of the current Board of Directors to redeem the club's sinking image.

The man nicknamed, millennium chairman’ is incensed with how the club has deteriorated both on and off the field over the last few years.

The capital-based side have been in the news for all the wrong reasons after General Manager Neil Armstrong Mortagbe was interdicted after mounting allegations of wrong doing leveled against him.

Zakkour, who led to win continental titles, wants current board chairman Togbe Afede XIV to dissolve the board.

“I’m totally disappointed in Accra Hearts of Oak because for the past two to three seasons they are bringing the spirit of the club down so they have to sit up,” he told Asempa FM

“Togbe should sit up, we are not saying he is not a good chairman, he is a good chairman, leader and person but I think he has to dissolve his board and appoint people who are willing to work.

“We have to get people who want to work in the club like Alhaji Hearts, Ernest Thompson, Ernest Quarshie, Nii Ayi Bonte; you need people who have heart for the club".

On the field, Hearts have been utterly poor, failing to win the Premier League crown since 2008.
