Hasaacas stand-in coach Joe Agyemang insists he knows his players well

Sekondi Hasaacas assistant trainer Joe Agyemang Jnr. has revealed that his immense knowledge of the qualities of his players is the reason for the 2-0 win over dreaded Dreams FC on Sunday.

A brace from Kojo Poku stole the day for the stand-in coach as head coach Yusif Basigi is on national assignment with the Black Queens.

Following the victory over Dreams FC, Joe Agyemang in an interview said he knows the boys well insisting he is not in a hurry to take over from Basigi.

“I know the boys well and what they are capable of doing. I have been training them and know exactly what Magnus and Ankobeah could do in those positions. That is why I made those changes,” he said.

Dreams FC held the hosts in the first half though the home side dominated possessions and threatened the goal area of the visitors on some occasions.

But a tactical switch in the second half that saw Augustine Arhinful subbed for Magnus Ebo Duncan and Emmanuel Ankobiah switched to the left back role making the magic for the Doo Boys and eventually paid off with the two goals from Kojo Poku.

He added that he was still learning from the head coach Basigi and was not in any rush to take over as head coach.

“For now I can say am still learning, am still learning from coach (Yusif Basigi), I can’t say am not ready but am still learning,” he added.

The win has pushed Sekondi Hasaacas out of the relegation zone to safety, two points above Bechem United with 23 points at the 13th position on the log.
