Asante Kotoko target Frederick Quayson has been handed a two-week trial by the Premier Soccer League side SuperSport United.

He has been linked with a return to the Porcupine Warriors- a club he failed to make an impact four years ago.

But his club Sekondi Hasaacas say talks about him joining Kotoko can only begin after a returning from South Africa.

“I can confirm that Kotoko have approached us for the services of Frederick Quayson but he will have to travel to South Africa for trials with Supersport United before they can make a decision on him,” Hasaacas deputy CEO Ofori Aqcuah told Takoradi-based Empire Radio.

Quayson scored six goals for Hasaacas last season as they finished seventh on their return to the Ghana top-flight.
